Very nice coat, but sleeves too short

Posted by Sandra on Jan 19th 2024

I purchased this coat as a Christmas gift for my husband. The other reviews are correct that this coat is not designed for tall, lanky framed men. He has the matching overalls in a LT and loves them, so I ordered the coat in the same size. I'm a 5'4" woman, and the sleeve length was only slightly too long for me. On my 6'1" husband, the sleeves were several inches too short. We sent it back and got the XLT. It is much too big in the waist, but the shoulders fit. We still wish the sleeves were another inch or two longer, but he loves the quality and wanted to keep it. He says it is surprisingly warm yet lightweight. He wore it and the overalls to push snow on the ATV and stayed warm. Great product, just needs some adjustments in the tall sizes!

Great jacket, longer fit, which is nice for keeping the cold out!

    Insulated Duck Chore Coat

Nice coat. Shrinks after washing but I'm 6'2" and the medium tall was just right after washing. There is some sloppy stitching here and there but overall well made. Real snaps on storm flap - not velcro! 1 of the snaps on the storm flap was not attached properly but I was able to re-attach it and pean over the eyelet as it should have been. Overall a very nice coat.

    High quality, but fitment issues

Posted by Sean on Dec 3rd 2023

This is great quality and a value compared to other workwear brands. It'll definitely hold up and do the job. I really want to love it, but it doesn't quite fit right for a tall, average/lanky build guy. I'm 6'2" 165. I have broad shoulders and long arms. The medium fits great in the body with room for layers, but the arms are too short and it's tight across the back when I reach, flex, and stretch. Like I could probably rip it if I moved wrong. It's sort of constricting across the back of the shoulders. I guess I have broad shoulders, but I'm not a particularly muscular guy. The medium-tall has the right length arms for me, but it's too long in the body, it looks weird. Like a parka more than a waist-length work coat. I'm gonna keep the medium, but like I said, a little restrictive across the back of the shoulders and the sleeves are too short.

    Great Coat for Winter

This coat is nice and roomy inside for wearing layers. I like the coat without a hood cause I wear hoodies underneath. This really breaks the wind out in the open. Would buy it again.

    Mens insulated duck chore coat

Posted by Steve Swail on Feb 19th 2021

I've had this coat about a month now and have worn it nearly every day - partly because it's cold out but also because I really like it. The canvas is thick but not the "stand up on it's own" kind. Enough insulation to keep you warm but not puffy inside. I like the storm cuffs but wish the sleeves in the tall size were about 1" longer. Overall a well built, functionally designed coat at a reasonable price. Time will tell how it wears but I'm expecting good mileage based on the quality of construction....

    Coat

Sturdy coat, i put it to the test as soon as i got it digging in on a cold Michigan day 10°. I'm 6'2" approximately 200lbs average build i ordered large tall wish i would have ordered a medium it runs big i don't like the sleeve design itblet a lot of dirt trap around my wrists even if there was a closure around the wrists to make them smaller . Good for the money and you dont have to worry about destroying it

    Insulated Duck Chore Coat

Posted by James G Tobey on Nov 30th 2020

It's not turning heads on the sidewalk in town but, it's a chore coat! All the features and more of the big competitor, and at a better price point I don't plan on babying it. I will be interested to see how it holds up when it's been broken in and gone through some wash cycles. One thing I would alter is the angle of the big pockets. They are awkward for hand-warming function.
