Simply Country Ranch

Lauren and Ben moved to Oklahoma with a dream to create something bigger than themselves.

After Lauren’s grandfather passed away, the land that had been in her family for seven generations was left idle. Lauren and Ben moved with their kids and Lauren’s parents to restore the family ranch.

“We choose every day to give everything we have. Hard work is just something ingrained in us,” says Lauren.

Lauren’s grandfather taught her that patience is key to understanding the seasons of life. In some seasons, you grow and see a harvest. In others, life is more trying. Regardless of the season, ranching is a passion the couple feels blessed to pursue.

“When I’m working on the ranch, I don’t think of it as hard work. It’s what I want to do,” says Ben.

Over the years, they have transformed the ranch into a profitable beef business and a welcoming place for their community. Lauren and Ben, both teachers, host events to educate local kids and community members about farming.

“We’re building a legacy outside our family,” says Lauren. “There’s not a lot of people who know about farming and ranching. We invite our community to experience the country and what it feels like to live on a farm.”

Lauren and her family are fulfilling her grandfather’s vision. They care for the land and their community, so both will thrive for generations to come.
